Great start by all, last week. Building on the opener remember several key aspects of this game:
Batting:
Hit the ball hard enough to hit the wall - use the pace of the ball to guide it between the coned areas for double runs!
You don't have to smash the ball - think about plaement.
Fielding:
Be on your toes all the time - it's a fast game and all fielders are always in the game. Careful with the overthrows - if you try and run-out and it misses and hits the far wall, you'll give more runs away. If you can't get a runout - hold the ball and return to the bowler!
Bowling:
Each wicket is -5 runs - so bowl straight and aim at the stumps! - watch those wides and no-balls though, you give the opposition 2 runs each time. When bowling, keep your feet behind the bowling line and make sure you pitch it up. If the ball bounces more than twice, it's a no-ball. If the ball is a full toss above waist height, it's a no-ball.
See you Thursday!
