The 1st XI suffered a humiliating defeat on Saturday as they were convincingly beaten at Grimsby. After heavy showers delayed the start of the match, the hosts won the toss and bowled first on a slow, seaming wicket. The Lindum batting order folded like a deck of cards, bowled out for just 67. Only Bish, Charlie and James made it into double figures. Grimsby's opening bowler finished with figures of 8-44 from his 13 overs.
Grimsby's chase was brisk, knocking off the total for the loss of two wickets which were taken by Jonny and Joe. That is all. Onto next week.
