Wonderful Win at Woodhall

The 1st XI earned 20 points on Saturday with a superb win away at Woodhall Spa. The hosts batted first and posted a competitive 220 - Jake Benson was the pick of the bowler with figures of 14-1-61-5. Joe and birthday boy James took two each while Will 'you just punched a pitch to death' Wright also got one. Lindum's chase got off to an unfortunate start when Will ran himself out for 19, before Aiden went for a patient 17 and Tom for four. This brought skipper Charlie and Will Taylor to the crease, who continued the chase before the latter was bowled for 30. Gail came in at six and batted brilliantly alongside Charlie, the two putting Lindum in a great position to win the game before Charlie was bowled for a bludgeoned 95. Jake came in and he and Gail knocked off the rest of the runs to bring all 20 points back to the LCG. Played fellassshhh.
