Victory by 7 wickets.

The Albion Cup is a prestigious cup, steeped in history, that is in its centenary year and the rumour of its last year also. This years final is at the Lindum so a semi final against BBH is a must win.

If you have read my previous T20 game report, you will have noticed that we had a lot of unfinished business in this short format of the game. After losing the toss and being asked to bowl, we quickly reduced a strong BBH line up to 20-5 with some very hostile bowling from Big Joe Peatman (a recurring theme this year!), figures of 4-7 off his 4 overs is stellar form. T20 specialist Jake picked up 2 wickets with Cook and Rolfs taking 1 each reducing BBH to 95-7 at the end of the innings. A small (no pun intended) mention has to go to Zac Shelbourne, who's 2 overs came out lovely but he was playing knowing that he had two exams the day after! The catching demands a mention here, Jake taking a couple catches that he had no right to take and some superb boundary catches from Max (who didn't want it at all) and DT who caught it like an easy mark in the AFL at full forward.

From our last T20, the batting cost us, and we always say if we lose, learn from it and take it forward, and we did just that. A bright opening partnership from our second Aussie Jack and Billtong lover Grant got us off to the desired start and it was Will Taylor and Captain Cook who put on 52 with patient, controlled batting without risk and hard running that broke the back of the opposition. Tayls sadly fell for 33 when we only needed 6 to win and it was Cook who struck the winning runs (32*) with a straight drive for 4 with 9 balls remaining.

After we sat in the changing room when we lost vs Bourne in our previous T20 and said what we needed to work on going forward, to see if pay off in our very next T20, shows a lot of promise and potential in this group of players. Beers on the outfield as a team after a victory, nothing beats it.

Onto the final, a shot at silverware.

We came back stronger! UTL
