Alongside our Easter cricket camps on the 15th and 16th April, Lindum Cricket Club is proud to be hosting a dedicated Girls’ Cricket Day on Friday 17th April. Members of our club can attend for £25 (£30 for non-members)
This day is an important part of our commitment to developing the girls’ game at the club providing a space where players can learn, play and grow together in an environment designed specifically with them in mind.
Cricket is for everyone, but we recognise that creating the right environment is key to helping more girls feel confident and engaged in the game.
A dedicated Girls’ Day allows us to:
- Build confidence in a supportive, peer-based setting
- Encourage participation from those new to cricket
- Strengthen friendships and connections within the girls’ section
- Support long-term development and enjoyment of the game
This approach reflects the wider direction of the game and the ambition to see more girls playing, staying, and thriving in cricket.
What to Expect
The day will focus on creating a positive, inclusive and enjoyable experience for all involved:
- Coaching tailored to all abilities, from beginners to experienced players
- Skill development in a relaxed and encouraging environment
- Fun games and activities designed to build confidence
- Opportunities to meet and play alongside other girls at the club
The emphasis throughout the day will be on enjoyment, development and being part of a growing community.
Part of a Bigger Picture
This event sits alongside our mixed Easter camps on the 15th and 16th April, but plays a distinct role in strengthening the girls’ pathway at Lindum CC.
By investing in opportunities like this, we are building a more inclusive club, one where every player has the support, environment and encouragement they need to succeed.
The future of cricket depends on creating opportunities for everyone to feel they belong. Girls’ Cricket Day is a step towards that future and we’re excited to see it continue to grow at Lindum CC.
