Lindum Beer Festival 2.0 : FAQs


Where is it?

The Beer Festival will take place at Lindum Sports Association, St Giles Avenue, LN2 4PE.

What are the opening times?

Friday: 4pm – Late
Saturday, Sunday and Monday : 12pm - Late

How does it work?

The Beer Festival bar will not be accepting cash or card payments. Instead, you must purchase tokens from our designated tokens tent which will be located in front of the main car park. One token is equal to £1. Please note, tokens are only valid for the Beer Festival bar. If you would like to purchase any food, this will be cash or card payments only.

What are the prices?

Up to 4.7% ABV

Half - 2 tokens
Pint - 4 tokens

4.8% ABV and above
Half - 3 tokens
Pint - 5 tokens

Can I get a refund for any unused tokens?

Unfortunately, we are unable to process refunds for unused tokens once payments have been made.

Can I pay using cash or card?

Card payments for tokens, cocktails and food can be processed, but we recommend bringing cash as back-up in case there are any signal/connectivity issues.

What's the £2K Draw all about?

On the Sunday of the Beer Festival (27th August), we shall be holding a draw where will be giving away a cash prize of £2,000! To enter the draw, all you have to do is buy a ticket for £5 from this link

You can buy as many tickets as you want to increase your chances of winning, and don’t have to be present at the Festival to win the prize. Good luck!

Are children permitted to attend?

Yes! The Beer Festival is a family-friendly event and people of all ages are welcome. However, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please take extra care during the cricket matches on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoons and watch the ball at all times. People attend at their own risk.

What live sport will be on?

There will be plenty of sporting entertainment over the weekend to keep you occupied!

Cricket: On the Friday, there will be a Lindum XI vs Lindum Old Boys XI game starting at 5:30 pm.
On Saturday, Lindum 2nd XI host Nettleham 2nd XI in a 45 over-per-side fixture, starting at 1 pm.
On Sunday, Lindum Academy host Barrowby in a 40 over-per-side game starting at 1 pm.
On Bank Holiday Monday, the 2nd XI are again at home, this time vs Cherry Willingham 1st XI, starting at 1 pm.

Hockey: Lindum Hockey Club are hosting several games over the weekend.
Friday night sees the Men's 1s host Southgate 2s who are travelling up from North London. It promises to be an exciting game. The game starts at 8 pm but get there early to grab some refreshments and watch the warm up.
Saturday sees two games at the club. The first game, starting at 11 am, sees a friendly between our Ladies 2s and Men's 4s.
The second game starts at 1:30 pm between our Men's 3s and Doncaster 3s. Both games should have some great action and will be a good test before the new season.

Squash: There will be coaching going on in the courts on Saturday morning through WIN squash, who have kindly offered free taster sessions for children from 11 am to 11.45 am. New members always welcome. Seek out Nigel Jubbs for more information !


Tell me more about the live music…

We are very excited to welcome three music acts across the weekend, all of whom (weather depending) will be performing live on our Small Beer Ltd Music Stage. In the event of rainy or cold weather, the musicians will perform inside the Lindum clubhouse.

Friday: Xanthe Jenks – 6.30 pm - 9 pm
Saturday: DJ Reckless – 6.30 pm - 9 pm
Sunday: Richie Phillips – 1 pm - 4:30 pm

Is there parking available at the event?

There is no exclusive parking available on-site. Please utilise local car parks, nearby street parking and public transport where possible... or walk! (Nearest pay & display car park is on Langworthgate, LN2 4AD)

Is there food available and can I bring my own?

We have a wide range of delicious food vendors offering burgers, pizzas, tacos, fries and sandwiches, but if you'd rather bring your own picnic and snacks, you are more than welcome to.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, but all dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not permitted in the food zone or any indoor areas. Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

Can I bring my own chairs?

We have a few benches for people to sit on but would recommend people bringing their own chairs/rugs to sit on.

Are there toilets on site?

Yes, we have toilets on site, as well as baby changing facilities. Please refer to the map on the back of your Beer Festival Guide to see where the toilets are located on site.

Will the Beer Festival be happening every year?

That's the plan!
