Junior Section 1 of 2

The Lindum Cricket Club has one of most delightful grounds in the country and there are few greater pleasures than playing cricket on a balmy Summer evening with the cathedral providing a stunning backcloth.

In the last few years we have lost two stalwarts, John Benson and Harry Pougher - the like of which the Club will never see again - who, amongst other things, devoted a large amount of time to the creation and development of the Club's Junior section. These are difficult acts to follow but the Club sees the development of young people as one of its most important roles.

Membership is open to all, boys and girls, with the aims being to perform well but above all have fun. The Lindum field teams in five age groups in the Lincolnshire Leagues from U9s to U17s who all perform competitively. Dedicated qualified coaches are attached to each age group.

Anyone interested in coaching or helping out, in any way, will be very welcome, please get in touch via the contacts below. Friday night is the highlight of the week with children from 6 to 13 year olds practising between 6:15 pm and 7.30 pm. U15s practise on a Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to 7: 30 pm. It's a real family occasion, an opportunity to wind down at the end of the week with a drink, the BBQ and watch some cricket in the sunshine.
