The second win of the season came from a good all-round performance. Having won the toss Morgan put Kexby into bat confident Lindum could chase down a target. A steady bowling performance backed up with some good fielding, especially from Jack who took the only wicket in the last over from behind the stumps, saw Kexby post a very competitive score of 269 to win. Lindum’s innings got off to a flying start with the first pair of Rohan and William B putting on 18 for no wicket hitting four 4s. The score board continued to tick over nicely, with the second pair of William H and Morgan scoring a further 10 runs off the bat for only one wicket. Further contributions from Grace, Hector and James who also added runs to the score were hard earned, as the bowling became more difficult to hit with a flurry of wide deliveries. With four remaining overs left in the game, Lindum eased past the winning score needed to finish on 289 for one. A good result well deserved by all, with the player of the match going to James Ives for his bowling in the last over which proved to be difficult but his determination and positive attitude to get the job done was exceptional.
