Heavy rain saved Lindum from a probable defeat at Bracebridge Heath on Sunday. Lindum won the toss and decided to bat first, posting 210-6 before declaring three overs before tea after a heavy shower forced a break in play. Will W continued his form from Saturday, making 76, while fellow opener Aidan regained some form, scoring 62. Wellsy made 17* to end the weekend with two cheeky red inkers, but no one else did anything worth mentioning, apart from Stubbsy, who made us all chuckle with the worst over ever to be bowled, ever.
After a lengthy tea break, play resumed and the hosts were fast out of the blocks, taking advantage of Lindum's slightly weakened bowling attack with some good shots and even better running. Will W took the only wicket, arguably the best of his six across the weekend, as his slow half-tracker was toed straight back into his hands at 3mph. BBH continued to score at pace, reaching 141-1 after 22 overs, before the rain came again and ended any chance of the game being completed.
