Winning Run Comes To An End

The Sunday 1st XI suffered their first defeat of the season at home to BBH on Sunday. The visitors batted first and posted 154-8 from 40 overs. There were very few highlights, but Elliott's bowling was certainly the stand out as he took figures of 5-37 from his 10 overs. Drink wine before every game son. Ted, Wells and JimKim all took one each. There were also some sharp catches from JimKim (2) and Dan in the slips/gully. There was also a crude one liner from Ozzy which most certainly won't be repeated.

Lindum's chase never really got fully going as they very steadily chased the total. Aidan fell first for 11 before Ozzy went for 29. Adam and Nick scored 25 and 15 respectively as the total began to look a little out of reach. The tail fell away very cheaply as Lindum collapsed to 118 all out in the 37th over. Like I said, there were very few highlights.
