It was another disappointing defeat for the 2nd XI on Saturday as they were beaten at home to Cherry Willingham. Lindum bowled first after the morning showers, yet Cherry managed to put a competitive 213-8 on the scoreboard. Shane CrossBarr was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2-39 from 15 overs, while the returning Dewy took 2-74 from his 12. There was also one each for Benno and Wellsy while Shane also recorded a run out.

The story of the season continued as the batting side of the game fell short, as Lindum were bowled out for 117 in the 43rd over. Dave Spokes, thankful of a new opening partner after his last outing, scored 26, Grant made 17 while debutant Elliott Dalton top scored with an impressive unbeaten 29 down the order, which included one six which was well and truly whacckkkkedddddd into Lunny's garden. Another defeat, but we will win soon. I promise.
