The 2nd XI suffered another defeat on Saturday, this time at the hands of Caistor. Skipper Benno won the toss and decided to bowl on a sticky wicket. A decent bowling and fielding display restricted the hosts to 167-9. The returning Shane Pablo Esco Barr and Tom Lea each took three wickets, Benno took two and Harry Wells, in his last ever outing in his trusty 1971 edition cricket spikes, removed the top scoring overseas for 52.
In response, Lindum posted a disappointing 110 all out after being in a reasonably promising position of 100-4. Grant top scored with 42 while Tom and Picko senior made contributions of 18 and 16 respectively. A big game against Cherry Willingham awaits this Saturday.
