Defeat to Barton

The 2nd XI suffered another defeat on Saturday, this time at the hands of Barton Town at the LCG. The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first. In short, Eddie was caught, Ollie was bowled, Picko was caught, Grant was caught, Dan was BBLBW (bat before leg before wicket), Ted was caught, Tom was caught, Harry was bowled, Kafait was caught, Zac was bowled, and Benno finished on 37 not out in a total of 114 all out.

The small total looked defendable when Lindum took three early wickets, Tom Lea taking two and skipper Benno claiming one. However after some poor bowling and a few dropped catches, the game started to get away from Lindum. Wicket number four came when Ted struck, with Ollie taking 'an exquisite one handed catch.
