Much anticipated event promises week of excitement

Lindum Cricket Club are once again putting Lincolnshire cricket on the map with the return of their annual floodlit cricket tournament, the only opportunity to watch live floodlit cricket in the county. The Coors Light Cup starts this Sunday 18th August, and this year’s competition promises to be bigger and better than ever as it coincides with the inaugural ‘Lincolnshire Hundred’ event. There will be guaranteed action throughout the week, with two T10 games every night from Sunday through to Thursday, as hosts Lindum, holders Bracebridge Heath, Scunthorpe Town, Sleaford and Woodhall Spa compete in a round-robin format. The grand finale will take place on Friday 23rd August, following the ‘Lincolnshire Hundred’ fixture which will be contested by a Lincolnshire Premier League XI and a Lincolnshire Legends XI in the new hundred-ball format. The event is once again raising money for St Barnabas Hospice, who were boosted by a £1,700 donation from last year’s event.

This year’s event hopes to take advantage of the ‘cricket fever’ which has gripped the nation since England’s historic World Cup win this summer – so come along and see some fantastic floodlit action!
